Hey Guys, Im Germaine

My Story

My interest in health started several years ago when, seemingly overnight, I developed a montage of symptoms that couldn’t be diagnosed - severe acne, extreme fatigue, hair loss, foggy thoughts, missed cycles, severe gut inflammation and weight gain. This was just the tip of the iceberg.  Obviously my hormones were off, yet my panels kept coming back normal as well as all the other test that were run.  When put on hormone medications, my symptoms got worse - something was amiss.  Extremely frustrated, I became determined to find a way to forever heal my body.

What started as a way to get back into my skinny jeans and clear up my skin as soon as possible turned into a 10+ year journey of learning about food energetics, how to support my hormones with diet and lifestyle changes, how to manage my blood sugar levels, and how to strengthen my immune system and digestion.  What surprised me most was that health wasn't just about weight and physical wellness. My progress was so intertwined with my thoughts, how I was doing emotionally and spiritually, my body’s movements, and its ability to detoxify properly.  Once I was able to connect the dots, I experienced significant improvements. 

My symptoms were a wake-up call — a gift.  I’m thankful that it caught me in my early 30s and caused so much heartache that it pushed me to dig deep and learn more. My symptoms challenged everything I thought I knew about health and I am grateful for that! 

I’m passionate about the power of the body to heal when we give it what it needs and take away what maybe hampering that. So passionate, that I enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and became a Holistic Health Coach followed by a year-long training with the Proctor Gallagher Institute, learning how the mind works and how to set goals and make them happen. Most recently, I finished training with the Nutritional Therapy Association and am now a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

More than anything, I realized my FOUNDATIONS were off. I learned that if I could strengthen my bodies natural foundations of regulating my blood sugar levels, eating nutrient dense foods, strengthening my digestion, improving daily lifestyle behaviors and mindset, my body slowly but surely turned back on. Not only did it turn back on, but it has now set a firm foundation for keeping me healthy. It’s not rocket science, but because of all the noise out there, we have collectively gotten away from that over the years. This is what I’m passionate about teaching people! It truly can change the trajectory of your health and how you get to experience your future!

I have a whole new perspective on health now - one that sees the body, mind, and spirit as wholly connected. My mission is to show others that eating healthy can be delicious. You’ll find no deprivation here!  With the right ingredients, you can recreate a healthier version of anything and make it NOURISHING for your body! When you understand how certain foods can work for you, you can begin to incorporate those into your daily menu to improve specific functions. More than that, when you feel healthy, you feel EMPOWERED to live your best life with the energy, passion, and vision to accomplish what you were put on this earth to do.
