Homemade “Dukes” Mayo

I a “team mayo” girl! You either love it or hate - But I love it! Sadly most store bought mayos are full of questionable ingredients that can hurt your health. That’s why I like to make my own. It’s cheaper and healthier and so easy to make.

Here’s my take on it.

Homemade Dukes Mayo

Yield: 20
Author: Germaine Benoit/ Nourished + Empowered
Prep time: 5 MinTotal time: 5 Min

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Find a container with tall sides - I used a 32 oz Masion jar with a large mouth opening
  2. Crack the egg into the mixing container
  3. Add the vinegars and lemon juice, salt, and paprika
  4. Pour avocado oil over this mixture
  5. Place a handheld stick blender into the jar - make sure your blender touches the bottom of the jar
  6. Now turn on blender (low speed) and keep the blender head touching the bottom of the jar until the mixture starts to turn white and get thick
  7. Once that happens, about 30 secs, then slowly move the blender up to incorporate the rest of the mayo
  8. Blend until the consistency you like - may adjust for seasoning after by adding in and hand stirring
  9. Should last 2 weeks in your fridge
